Capitol Police looking over the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C.
When I saw this police officer with a buddy of his at the Capitol building I instantly knew it would be a great shot. It was just past daybreak on a Saturday or Sunday morning with absolutely no one else around. I knew I was within my rights in a public place to take a picture without asking, but just to play nice I asked him if I could include him in a picture. He said that he wasn't allowed to tell me "yes" but that he couldn't stop me either. All true I knew! So I smiled and thanked him, and he struck the perfect pose looking up at the Capitol dome as he watches over it.
